The Champions League will incorporate important novelties of face to his next editions. The maximum European competition to level of clubs will have important changes that will affect so much to the format of the tournament as to his schedules
The UEFA has done important modifications in the format of the Champions League of face to future editions. The maximum continental trophy to level of clubs will have new formats, as well as some distinct schedules. The changes will begin to apply of face to the competition contested in the next season 2018-2019 and will last, at least, until the year 2021.
The first big change that will have the UEFA Champions League will be the schedule. Up to now, all the parties contested to the 20:45 hours, to exception of some meetings in Russia, that played exclusively in schedules of afternoon.
From the season that comes, the parties will contest in two time bands differentiated: the 18:55 and the 21:00. However, the crashes between the teams will follow playing the same days of the week: ones the Tuesdays and another the Wednesdays.
Format of Champions
The number of teams classified directly to the phase of groups of the Champions League will become of 26, included so much the last champion of the previous edition of the tournament and as also the one of the Europe League. In case that the winner of the Champions already have square via his League, the vacancy will occupy it the champion of the Czech Republic, the eleventh federation of the ranking.
The Spanish leagues, English, German and Italian will carry to the Champions League to his first four qualifiers, whereas the French and the Russian will carry to the two first. In the championships of Portugal, Ukraine, Belgium and Turkey will classify the champion of league.
