The Catalan press ensures that the Real Madrid would not have foreseen to yield Santiago Bernabéu for the dispute of the final of Glass of the King between FC Barcelona and Athletic of Bilbao, with the aim that it do not go back to repeat a celebration of the Barça like sucedió in 1997
As it has informed the newspaper "Sport" in the last hours, after advancing this past Wednesday that the FC Barcelona had the intention to ask to the RFEF that the final of Glass of the King played in Santiago Bernabéu when being the neutral stadium of greater capacity of public, when seeming the Real Madrid would have denied in rotundo to that his stadium was the headquarters of a final between Barça and Athletic of Bilbao, and could put excuses and justifications of all type in the next days.
Three years ago, FC Barcelona and Athletic had to contest the final of Glass of the King in Vicente Calderón after the Real Madrid alleged some works in the toilets of the Bernabéu precisely by these dates, when it showed later that said works would not have why have altered the dispute of the final of the tournament.
In this sense, the clear aim "merengue" is to avoid at all costs that the eternal rival can celebrate a title in his stadium and, besides, afterwards by the streets of Madrid strolling by some emblematic places of the white celebrations.
For the moment, then , the headquarters of the final of Glass of the King 2014-15 will keep on being a mystery until Ángel María Villar, president of the RFEF, report of this publicly.
