FC Barcelona seems to be among the best positioned teams to achieve a triplet in this 2024-25 season, however, he is not the only candidate to achieve this achievement

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The 2024-25 season is already halfway through. Although it is still early to draw conclusions, there are several teams that, based on their on-field performances and accumulated results, appear to be strong candidates not only for some awards but also to aspire to one of the most desired achievements for any team: a treble.

In this regard, one of the teams best positioned to achieve the treble is the FC Barcelona. The team under Hansi Flick is waiting to find out their opponent in the 2024-25 Copa del Rey 'semis'.

At the same time, they have qualified for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League, ranking second with 19 points, just behind Liverpool (21). In LaLiga EA Sports, the Catalan club is currently in third place with 48 points, just two points behind the leader, which is currently Real Madrid (50).

Other teams with a chance to finish the 2024-25 season with a treble

Beyond this relevant case, there are also other clubs with serious chances of achieving the treble, such as Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen. Additionally, there are other notable teams like Real Madrid and SL Benfica. Below, FCBN shows you some of the teams that can still finish the 2024-25 season with a treble:

Some teams that can no longer compete for the treble

Interestingly, one of the most notable teams this 2024-25 season, Liverpool, can no longer achieve the treble this year. Despite being in first place in the Premier League with a six-point lead over their closest rival, Arsenal (50), and having solidly progressed as the leader in the UEFA Champions League with 21 points, they were recently unexpectedly eliminated from the FA Cup by Plymouth Argyle, ending any hopes of a treble for the team managed by Arne Slot.

Additionally, other notable absentees include Arsenal (eliminated in the third round of the FA Cup by Manchester United), Bayern Munich (eliminated in the Round of 16 of the DFB Pokal by Bayer Leverkusen), and Borussia Dortmund (eliminated in the second round of the DFB Pokal by Wolfsburg).
