Barça held their last training session of the week this Wednesday. In the midst of the break, the squad will have four days off, with the return to work scheduled for Monday
The FC Barcelona squad, with the exception of five players out due to injury and the ten internationals who are traveling with their national teams for the October break, held the last training session scheduled for the week on Wednesday.
The group led by Ronald Araujo trained in the morning without the presence of coach Hansi Flick, who has been absent since Monday for personal reasons. Some reserve team players joined the practices on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with low-intensity sessions after the match against Sevilla.
Fermín López Returned to Training Separately from the Group
One of the main novelties of the day was the presence on the field, once again, of Fermín López. The player from Huelva has been working apart from the group since last week and, although he was not available for the match against Sevilla, he has many options to be included in the squad against Girona.
The same is true for Raphinha, although the Brazilian has not yet trained on the pitch. The '11' was present at Barça Femení's thrashing of Bayern Munich in the Women's Champions League (7-1) and should return to work next Monday. If his progress is good, he is very likely to get minutes on Saturday the 18th against Girona.
In the case of Lamine Yamal, the '10' will return a day earlier to train at the Ciutat Esportiva to continue his recovery from the pubalgia that knocked him out against Sevilla. Like Rafa, the Mataró native could also return for the match against the Catalans, as long as he can train normally in the middle of next week.
The other three injured players who remain apart from the squad are Joan García, Gavi, and Ter Stegen. The German and the Andalusian are long-term absences, while the player from Sallent hopes to return in time for the Clásico on October 26, against Real Madrid. Otherwise, the goalkeeper will be out until early November.
The Barça squad will have four days off

Thus, the Barcelona squad will enjoy a long weekend, with four days of rest before beginning to prepare for the match of matchday 9 of LaLiga. After the break, the *culés* will play six matches (four in La Liga and two in the Champions League).
The Azulgrana team's obligation is to turn the page on the defeats against PSG and Sevilla, recovering the good play that, prior to the fall against Paris, the team had been displaying in a streak of five consecutive victories.
Hopefully, the break won't add any more players to the Barça infirmary, which in the next three weeks could recover four of the six players who were out due to physical problems on matchday 8 of La Liga.
