Bartomeu announces the continuity of the project until 2016

The resignation of Sandro Rosell like president has supposed that, as they mark the statutes of the Barça, Josep Maria Bartomeu, up to now first vice-president, occupy to the end of the mandate the charge of president

Shortly after that Sandro Rosell announced his resignation like president of the FC Barcelona has taken the word Josep Maria Bartomeu, that assumes the charge. The up to now sportive vice-president of the club has confirmed "the continuity of the project of the current Managerial Board until the year 2016".

Josep Maria Bartomeu is the person of confidence of the president of the FC Barcelona. This Thursday, accompanied of Javier Faus, has been gathered extensively with Sandro Rosell in his home address to value the current situation. Bartomeu is the first vice-president of the club since Sandro Rosell won the elections to the presidency of the entity in June of 2010.

Previously, Josep Maria Bartomeu already had occupied a place in the managerial board of Joan Laporta like manager of the section of basketball, from 2003 until 2005, but abandoned the club at the side of Sandro Rosell when this presented the resignation.

It has been a pride work with you all these years and this pervivirá in our memory for ever.

Thank you Also to the mates of Board by his confidence so that from today lead this project.

My first message like president of the FC Barcelona is to announce the continuity of the project of the current Managerial Board until 2016. We feel us strong. We were the most voted candidature by the partners in the elections of the 2010.

We will follow working and betting by all those values that have guided us during these years and will do it with illusion and with the maximum commitment to keep the excellence in the three areas: the sportive, the economic and the social of the Club.

We have attained a lot of aims in these last years, but still remain us many for reaching and a lot of way for visiting.

It would like me today ask the support of the partners of the Club. I want to encourage them to be followed trusting this project that so many good things has given us and still has to us give.

All our challenges and aims follow valid. The first team of football and our sections will follow having all our support and the necessary resources to follow always aspiring to everything.

The future of the Camp Nou, ours big bet patrimonial, will keep on being a priority for this Managerial Board. A project where play us a lot, play us the future of the next decades and where the partners will have the word in referendum the next month of April.

This is a club property of his partners and will do all what was in our hands to consolidate it in the place where find us, the highest moment of his history.

And a last aim: we will be very firm in the defence and in the requirement of the maximum respect to our club, in front of all the estamentos sportive, politicians and judicial.
