The judge, Antonio Nuno of Rosa, has given a term of two months to the seven ex directors of the FC Barcelona of the period of Joan Laporta to endorse almost 3 million euros each one (23,2 in total) of agreement to what dictates the sentence of the controversial case of the guarantees
The execution of the sentence was suspended, but the demandante, the partner Vicenç Pla, has asked the execution. The ex managerial Joan Laporta, Josep Cubells, Rafael Yuste, Albert Perrín, Joan Boix, Alfonso Castro, Jaume Ferrer and Alfons Godall are forced to present the guarantee, that only will execute in function of what say the sentence of the action of responsibility.
These directors received the sentence when being considered guilty of the losses of the exercise of the season 2002-03, period in that the club was chaired by Joan Gaspart, but in that the course was closed by Laporta. It treats of the famous eight first days of mandate of Laporta, days that, according to a sentence, were considered a whole year of mandate.
These losses were of 63,8 million euros, but the directors only will see forced to endorse some 23 millions (2,9 per person), since this figure corresponds to 15% of the budget that the club approved for the season 2006-07. According to the sentence, the guarantee would have to have been presented by the managerial board in this moment, when it initiated his second mandate, for having accumulated losses at the end of the first.
