Moix: "The new Camp Nou is ilusionante and necessary"

The responsible director of the Area Patrimonial, Jordi Moix, has declared that the project of the new Camp Nou is "ilusionante, sustainable and necessary". It has explained that, in case to approve in referendum the 5 or 6 April, "would consolidate definitively the best active patrimonial of the Club in the best possible place to keep on being world-wide reference" .

Also it has ensured that "the proposal urbanística is compatible between the needs of the Club and his integration with the neighbourhood and the city" and that " invest in our active is indispensable for the competitiveness of the team and the Club that want".

Until arriving to this point the Managerial Board has worked a total of 18 months. The investment has been roughly of one million euros. Moix Has detailed like this all the process: "it Was the moment to put all the meat in the asador and wanted to do a thought to contemplate it everything. It is for this reason that created a group of work -formed by 18 people- where took into account the singularities of our Club, the needs of our partners and, at the same time, the experience of other new installations that already are a reality". The director has put like examples the new stadiums of the Bayern of Munich, of the Arsenal or of the Athletic Club.

The first phase of this analysis included a total of five options for the new Camp Nou. The three first did not surpass it. By a part, the option of a new stadium in the terrains of the Miniestadi, descartada by fault of space. By another, demolish the Stadium by phases, idea that no fructificó for being too complex technically. Finally, neither cuajó the solution adopted by the Athletic Club, descartada by a loss of capacity and volumetry.

Of this form, only surpassed the first phase the option to do a new stadium to the height of the Diagonal and the finally chosen option, the one to do a new stadium with the current structure, a more known project by the acronyms ENEA (New Stadium Current Structure).

"The second phase lasted the last six months and finally arrive to the conclusion of descartar the option of the Diagonal, fundamentally because the investment that involved this option approached to the 1.200.000 of euros, a cost inasumible. Also the technical circumstances, although they were attainable, involved a big complexity", has added Moix.

The director has left clear that "inside a month or month and half" will be available a maqueta so that the partners can do a clearer idea of the project before voting the day of the referendum. In case to approve , the Club will carry out an open architectural contest so that it choose what Camp Nou wants to have . ?The façade and the wrapping is the last piece of the process. Before it remains us a long way for visiting", has added Moix.

Before finish, has invited to the partners and fans barcelonistas "to invoke the spirit of 1922 (year of the inauguration of the field of Them Corts), of 1957 (year of the inauguration of the Camp Nou) and of 1982 (expanded the stadium with reason of the World-wide), as well as the one of 1992, when all the civil strengths and politics put of agreement to carry out the Olympic games of Barcelona?.
