Núñez asks the reprieve by the "case Inland revenue"

As they have informed judicial sources, the letrado of the family Núñez has asked the reprieve to the Ministry of Justice while, of parallel form, expect that the High court resolve on the incident of nullity that presented against the sentence that condemned them by bribe. Before deciding on the reprieve, the Ministry of Justice has asked to the TS reports on the request posed by Núñez, a dictamen that, however, does not link the final decision of the central government.

The ex president of the FC Barcelona and his son were condemned by the Audience of Barcelona to six years of prison for bribing to inspectors of Inland revenue so that they did the fat sight in the reviews and evade like this the payment of taxes of the profits obtained by the group constructor that administered. The past month of January, the Supreme recessed of six to two years and two months of prison, more the payment of a fine of 1,5 million euros, the conviction to the Núñez, what in principle involves the entry in prison of the two convicts.

However, the section ninth of the Audience of Barcelona, that dictated the first sentence and is the attendant to execute the decision, has not decided still if it sends to the Núñez to prison or suspends the penalty waiting for the resolution of the reprieve, since it is slope that the Supreme decide on the incident of nullity posed by his defence.

The one who himself has ingresado voluntarily in prison to fulfil the penalty imposed by the "case Inland revenue" is Josep Maria Huguet, ex boss of the inspection of Inland revenue in Catalonia condemned to six years and ten months of prison for having accepted millionaire donations of Catalan employers in return to do the fat sight in the inspections to his societies.
