Villar Resigns like vice-president of the UEFA and FIFA

Ángel María Villar communicated this Thursday by writing to the FIFA his resignation like vice-president and member of the Council in representation of the UEFA. Shortly before, it had resigned also of his charges in the European organism. It is still in the RFEF
Villar, president of the RFEF from 1988, went in to form part of the ancient Executive Committee of the FIFA in 1998, after the election of the Swiss Joseph Blatter like president. In 2002 it turned into one of his vice-presidents and, in addition to comandar the Juridical Commission, also chaired the one of the Referees until the past January, when it was replaced by the exárbitro Italian Pierluigi Collina.
In October of 2015 was appointed manager of the Committee Organiser of the World-wide of Russia 2018, but this disappeared like such with the internal reforms of the FIFA approved after the arrival to the presidency of the Swiss Gianni Infantino.
One of these changes was to reduce the number of commissions, that recessed of 26 to 9, and between them and created an only manager of the organisation of all the competitions of FIFA that heads the president of the UEFA, the esloveno Aleksander Ceferin.
This Thursday, Villar also resigned of the charges that occupied in UEFA -vice-president, president of the Legal Committee and member of the Strategic Council of the Professional Football and of the Committee of the Statute, the Transfer and the Agents of Players.
In provisional prison
The called operation "Soule", directed by the judge Santiago Pedraz of the National High Court, keeps in provisional prison without bail from the past day 20 to Ángel María Villar and to the first and responsible vice-president of the territorial of Tenerife, Juan Padrón, as possible managers of the crimes of disloyal administration, undue appropriation and/or swindle, documentary falsity and corruption between individuals.
