Lamine Yamal and FC Barcelona's attacking trident have become Europe's most lethal forward line in 2024-25. The 'LRL' has scored 55 goals in 29 games and has beaten the best teams on the continent

Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona has become a true goal-scoring machine in the 2024-25 season. Much of the credit goes to the trident formed by Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski, who have been responsible for producing, scoring, and assisting, no less than 89.7% of the 88 goals scored by the team so far across La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Supercup, and UEFA Champions League.

In Lamine's case, the most remarkable aspect so far has been his character and personality to always show up against great rivals at just 17 years old. The player from Mataró scored against Real Madrid in La Liga and the Supercup, but also added an assist in the Champions League against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The young player also scored against Athletic Club in both matches, while in the derby against Espanyol, he also provided an assist.

The only match in which the winger could not help the team was against Atlético de Madrid, due to an ankle injury. Rafa and 'Lewy' also scored in both Clásicos, and in the case of the Brazilian, he had the luxury of netting a 'hat-trick' against Bayern in the Champions League. So far, the 'colchonero' team has been the only rival of high caliber that has escaped the goals of the culé trident (Pedri scored in the azulgrana's 1-2 defeat).

Lamine, Raphinha, and Lewandowski have scored 55 of Barça's 88 goals

In 29 official matches of the 2024-25 season, Hansi Flick's Barça has scored 88 goals. 56 of them (62.5%) have come from the offensive trident, with Lewandowski being the team's top scorer in both La Liga (16) and Champions League (7), totaling 26 goals. He is followed by Raphinha, with 20, while Lamine reached 9 goals this season with the goal that capped off the 'five' against Betis. The '19' also leads the team in assists (12), with two more than Rafa (10).

Counting goals and assists, the culé offensive trident has participated in 79 goals this season. The change in scheme implemented by Hansi Flick has worked wonders for his forwards, as the high pressing allows them to have many more opportunities in each azulgrana attack. Despite the dip in performance last December, the team managed to regain their overwhelming rhythm after the Christmas break. In total, Barça has scored 16 goals in their first four matches of 2025.
