Barça's crisis in La Liga worsens. In the last five games, the Catalans have only 5 points with 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses
Although FC Barcelona seemed to have gotten their mini-crisis of results back on track with their victory against Mallorca, the draw against Betis was a hard blow for the Catalans, who were emboldened after the match at Son Moix. And the fact is that, regardless of the scoreline, the team's performance was far from what was expected and Iñaki Peña avoided a worse result.
The bad run of form for the Blaugranas is evident and worrying, since in their last five games, they have only managed to get one win. Since the defeat against Real Sociedad at Anoeta (1-0), they have barely been able to beat Mallorca (1-5), being beaten by Las Palmas at Montjuïc (1-2) and sharing the points against Celta in Vigo (2-2) and against the Verdiblancos in Seville (2-2).
- Real Sociedad vs FC Barcelona: 1-0
- Celta vs FC Barcelona: 2-2
- FC Barcelona vs Las Palmas: 1-2
- Mallorca vs FC Barcelona: 1-5
- Betis vs FC Barcelona: 2-2
Barça misses chance to get away from Real Madrid in LaLiga
A total of five points from the last 15 possible has been the result of Barça's difficult present in LaLiga, although, despite everything, they remain sole leaders of the competition. However, if Real Madrid defeat Girona, they could be 2 points behind in the standings with a game in hand, so the top of the table could be at risk.
Next Sunday, the Catalans will host Leganés at the Lluís Companys, in a match that seems key to them getting back on track in the league and securing the winter championship, although they will have to do so without Hansi Flick on the bench after his expulsion at the Benito Villamarín.
