The president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán, did not hide his desire to bring the 2030 World Cup final to the Santiago Bernabéu, with justifications that border on the absurd

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has already leaned towards the Santiago Bernabéu as the venue for the 2030 World Cup final. At least that is what its president, Rafael Louzán, claims, who in an interview for the program 'El Cafelito' presented his absurd reasons for betting on Chamartín instead of Spotify Camp Nou or the Metropolitano, two stadiums with more than enough conditions to host a match of this magnitude.

"I want the final to be held at the Bernabéu because it is the stadium located in the capital of the country and because it also has the largest capacity", explained the president of the RFEF. What Louzán did not take into account is that, once the renovation of Spotify Camp Nou is completed, the culé temple will have a capacity significantly greater than that of the Madrid stadium.

Louzán also insists on agreeing with LaLiga regarding the 'Olmo case'

In total, there will be 105,000 more spectators that the Estadi will receive starting in the summer of 2026, 20,000 more than the current official capacity of Chamartín. Furthermore, if it comes to playing the final in the capital, there are no reasons not to consider the Metropolitano. However, Louzán insists on promoting the Bernabéu as the first option for the World Cup final that Spain will organize together with Portugal and Morocco. In that sense, the president also warned that the African country wants to secure the decisive match of the World Cup.

"It seems that Morocco is also fighting for that goal because it is building a stadium with a capacity of 120,000 spectators. I have a meeting scheduled in the coming days with the president of the Moroccan Federation, but I want to talk to FIFA", added the president of the Royal Federation, who also referred to the 'Olmo case'.

For Louzán, the position of the RFEF and LaLiga is not up for discussion, as both institutions insist that Barcelona "submitted all the documentation outside the set deadline". In the coming days, both the league and the RFEF are awaiting the rulings from the Administrative Court and the Higher Sports Council (CSD) regarding the precautionary measure that the latter granted to the club to re-register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.
