FIFA bans League matches outside the country of origin

After several months of discussion, soon will be official: it will not have split of LaLiga in United States. The project of the president of the patronal and the company Relevent Sports -that also manages the International Champions Cup (ICC)- was blocked until in two occasions by diverse entities, and this time has received a definite hit. The maximum authority to world-wide level has opted for saying that 'no' to his initiative.

According to the newspaper 'Mark', the Committee of Groups of Interests of the FIFA, formed among others, by Federations, Leagues, Players and Confederations, has moved to the Council of Government his decision to forbid formally that they contest commitments of League out of the country of origin. The insistence of some interested in this subject turned it into a key point of the last meeting, and the debate already has a verdict.

The quoted half concrete that in the next Board will establish a specific rule in relation to the subject, but the base already has fixed . "It has approved the principle established by the Council of the FIFA that the national parties officials have to take place in the territory of the association member in question. The regulations on this subject will present to the Council of the FIFA of the next month", specifies the announcement.

This measure pretend to keep the equality between the days in which it acts like venue and those that does like visitor, since it understands that in case to break the parity -as in the case to play in a neutral stadium-, would be prejudicing the spirit of the competition. The Leagues, that have voice and vote in the mentioned Committee, have showed his férrea opposition to break a border that consider holy.

Of this form, Javier Thebes receives a negative rotunda to his intentions to carry a meeting of the Spanish championship to Miami, where first treated to organise a clash suspender belt between Girona and FC Barcelona and afterwards repeated with another between Athletic of Madrid and Villarreal. The Federations of both countries vetoed this celebration, whose headquarters aimed to be the Hard Rock Stadium, stage of a Classical in the ICC.

The Glasses have free road

In Spain, this decision arrives shortly after the première of a Supercopa in Saudi Arabia, a project that did not convince to LaLiga but that finally implanted the Real Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF) in an edition renewed. The terms described by the FIFA would not affect a priori to this tournament, since it is not conditioned by the parity and in any circumstance already would contest in a neutral stadium.
