Government and League yield mutually so that there is no strike

The threat of strike in the Spanish football seems to dissipate, at least by a time, after the last agreements reached in the Congress of Deputies. LaLiga And the Government agreed to approve two of the three key amendments in the Law of the Sport that the directive headed by Javier Thebes demanded for the well of all the clubs partipantes in the First and Second Division.

The first of the 'triumphs' obtained by LaLiga aims to that the clubs have weight on any change in the statutes that the Real Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF) wish to implement. In this sense, any statute will be able to modify without that LaLiga issue a report in which it endorse any change that repercuta in the competition. On the other hand, and much more important, the clubs attained an advance regarding the audiovisual rights.

Javier Thebes achieved that it recognise the audiovisual rights collected in the Royal decree 5/2015, this thanks to an amendment presented by the Socialist Party Spanish Worker (PSOE) and Can. However, the agreement reached with the investment fund CVC follows without armouring , since the rights of commercialisation follow without being recognised, by which LaLiga will follow insisting in front of the Senate.

Likewise, another reverse for the competitions of Spanish clubs has to see with the amendment that would enable to LaLiga to apply sanctions against the clubs that participate in the Superliga European or any similar project. Thebes demands autonomy to be able to expel to the FC Barcelona and the Real Madrid of all the Spanish tournaments if it was necessary, but andl Government prefers to expect by the court's decision of Justice of the European Union.

The final text of the Law of the Sport, in wait

Further of the agreements reached the Tuesday, the RFEF still does not have the final text of the Law of the Sport in his dispatches. Nevertheless, the directive of the Federation gives by good the news that arrive from the Congress, since his directive considers that they have approved mostly the postulates that defended the RFEF, further that it keep the pulse of Thebes with Barça and Madrid by the Superliga.
