FC Barcelona and Real Madrid won his respective matches this Sunday, although with controversies of all type. Do you think that is using properly the VAR with the two 'big' teams of LaLiga?
The VAR and the referee's performances come under scrutiny since it gave beginning LaLiga Santander 2019-20, but few thought that this Sunday could generate so much controversy with it sucedido in the Osasuna-Real Madrid and the Betis-Barça. Of course also there was controversy with some decisions in other parties of the day, but the most flagrant errors gave in the parties of the two 'big'.
Said referee's errors -if it can them call like this-, joined to the passivity of the VAR when it would have to have acted, put in entredicho the good utilisation of this type of tool in the Spanish football, where seems that it does not finish to like to all the world had to, as we say, to his bad use in determinate moments of the parties.
From 'FCBN' have wanted to ask to our readers if they think that the VAR is benefiting more to the FC Barcelona or to the Real Madrid in what it goes of season, or if they think that it makes a mistake by the same for both teams. The referee did not signal neither fault, and some hours afterwards went back to have controversial in the Betis-Barça. Sánchez Martínez covered of glory in Benito Villamarín, to the not signalling a possible expulsion of Sergi Roberto by double yellow, neither neither a very clear penalti to Leo Messi in the final instants of the party. The VAR did not go in in any moment to say him at all on these two played.
The controversy with the arbitration in Spain, an interminable history
Neither it signalled the referee a very clear fault to Messi in the centre of the field during the first minutes of the meeting. A minute afterwards, the Real Betis marked the first goal of the party thanks to a penalti caused by hands of Lenglet. If this fault had signalled , therefore, is likely that the Barcelona had not received the first goal of form so early.
Along the last months from the RFEF and the Technical Committee of Referees have said us constantly that the VAR is to help, and that with the step of the time will implement his effectiveness to avoid that they produce referee's injustices. This, clear is, depends on who was behind the tool. Because, for now, it can not say that the controversial have left to surround to the arbitration in the Spanish football. Rather on the contrary...
