Carles Puyol has announced this Tuesday in press conference that to final of season will leave the FC Barcelona. The captain of the Barça, that has agreement until the 2016, has announced that so much the Club like him have agreed that his bond finalise on 30 June 2014. The Barcelona captain has explained that the injuries do not allow him surrender to the level wished and that prefers, in an exercise of honesty with the club and with the mates, step backwards. Puyol Has said that in summer will rest and that does not have clear if it will continue or no in active.

"The reason of the announcement of today is to communicate them that at the end of this season will leave to be player of the FC Barcelona. After the two last so aggressive operations, is costing me a lot recover the level that I demand me to continue here. More than what I thought and much more of what said me the surgeons. That's why I have taken this decision.
It would like me comment three things in this sense:
1.- I do not leave it today. Still they remain three months of championship and those that know me know that I do not go to go down the arms and that will follow struggling to the end to try improve and help to the team to reach the aims of this season.
2.- I do not know what will do from 30 June, but what yes have clear is that when it finish the season need to rest. I carry four years without stopping by fault of the injuries. Afterwards, already we will see which raisin.
3.- And, finally, yes that it would like me do a press conference at the end of the season and sack me of all the people that has accompanied me during these 19 seasons. The one who want to, the one who can, presidents, directors, entrenadore , mates, people of the club, journalists, friends, familiar, this day will answer all the questions that querais.
