OFFICIAL: The Supercopa of Spain, on 12 August in Tangier

Finally, the final of the Supercopa of Spain will take place in Tangier to only party the day 12 August to the 22:00 of the night, something little usual since it treats of a tournament to double party. In this way, the FC Barcelona and the Seville FC already know the date, the place and the hour in which it will take place the dispute of the first official title of the season.

The decision has done official this Sunday to first hour of the afternoon by mediation of an official communiqué of the Real Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF) in which it has specified that the Stade Ibn Battouta, with capacity for 45.000 viewers, will be the enclosure in which it will play the party.

"The Supercopa of Spain 2018 will contest in the Stade Ibn Battouta of the place of Tangier. The tournament, that opens the sportive competition official of the season 2018/2019 in Spain, will confront to the Seville FC, like finalist of the Championship of Spain-Glass of SM the King and to the FC Barcelona, champion of the last edition of the National Championship of League of First Division", prayed the communiqué, on the event.

Besides, the communiqué also specified that the date would be definitively on 12 August, as already it had commented , and that the schedule would be to the 22:00, peninsular hour: "The Supercopa, that will contest to only party, will play the Sunday 12 August to the 22:00 (Spanish peninsular hour, 21:00 local hour in Tangier)".

The RFEF also argued the decision on the final enclosure with the type of installations and with the fact that the Athletic of Madrid inaugurated the stadium: "The Stadium of Tangier is one of the modern installations of the neighbouring country and has capacity for 45.000 viewers. It was inaugurated in 2011 with a friendly in which it participated the Athletic Club of Madrid".

Decision that does not like to the Seville

The multiple commitments of the FC Barcelona and of the Seville during the month of August did not allow that the Supercopa of Spain had sufficient dates as to contest to double split -with the party of gone home of the victorious of Glass of Rey and the one of turn in the one of the champion of League- by what finally bet by the only party. A decision that did not like at all to the club hispalense and that generated tension.
