Bar\u00e7a receives Alav\u00e9s this Saturday with the expected return of Pedri. However, Hansi Flick loses two new players for matchday 14 of LaLiga<\/h2> \r\n

The Barcelona Football Club<\/strong> infirmary will have a total of four staff members for matchday 14 of LaLiga EA Sports 2025\/26<\/a>. Pedri Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, out since the first Cl\u00e1sico of the season against Real Madrid<\/strong> due to a left femoral biceps injury, has received medical clearance and will be able to play against Alav\u00e9s<\/strong> after a month out.<\/p>

The 22-year-old midfielder was expected to be available last Tuesday against Chelsea<\/strong>, but he ultimately did not accumulate the necessary number of training sessions to be included in the Champions League<\/strong> squad. Finally, the ‘8’ returns this Saturday to the Spotify Camp Nou<\/strong>, where he already won a league title in 2023, being a key player in the Bar\u00e7a setup<\/p>

This season, Pedri has scored two goals and provided assists in 13 appearances (1,099 minutes) <\/strong>for Hansi Flick’s team. Before his injury, the player from Tenerife was the only member of the Bar\u00e7a squad to start every game, as well as the leader in minutes played. Against Alav\u00e9s, the coaching staff plans to give him about 15 minutes of action in the second half.<\/p>

The good news of the return of the player from Tegueste, however, contrasts with two new absences against Alav\u00e9s. **Ferm\u00edn L\u00f3pez** will miss matchday 14 of LaLiga and, probably, **Barcelona’s next three games** due to a minor injury in his right soleus<\/p>

The player from Huelva started in the team’s last seven matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists<\/strong>. In this way, Flick loses the midfielder at Bar\u00e7a’s best moment, although he regains Pedri, the brain of the Catalan team in recent years.<\/p>

Gavi and Ter Stegen, Barcelona’s Only Long-Term Absences<\/h2>

Thus, Pablo Gavi<\/strong> and Marc-Andr\u00e9 ter Stegen<\/strong> remain Bar\u00e7a’s only long-term absentees. The Andalusian will likely be out until the end of February after undergoing arthroscopy on his right knee. The goalkeeper is expected to be medically cleared in the coming weeks, after completing his recovery from lumbar surgery.<\/p>
