FC Barcelona has announced the list of 22 players called up for this Sunday’s match against Getafe. The Azulgrana team plays its second home game in LaLiga 2025/26, again at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in the Ciutat Esportiva, in St. Joan Despí.

The Culé team hosts the ‘Azulones’ still without being able to count on Lamine Yamal. The ’10’ remains sidelined due to a pubic injury that worsened after the international break. Gavi and Alejandro Balde are also out again. Below, we review Hansi Flick’s squad list for this match:

Barça’s injured players: Lamine Yamal, Balde, Gavi and Ter Stegen remain ‘KO’

In that sense, Hansi Flick will have to face new injury absences. In total, four players will miss the match due to muscular problems, with Lamine Yamal being the most sensitive absence. The player from Mataró scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in the first 3 matchdays of La Liga, being the team’s offensive leader.

In addition, the list provided by the German coach includes several important absences, including Marc-André ter Stegen, Alejandro Balde and Gavi, all injured and, in the case of the goalkeeper, without an estimated return date. The full-back and the midfielder, however, hope to receive medical clearance in the coming days.

          🩹 INJURED:

          1. (#1). Marc André ter Stegen

          2. (#3). Alejandro Balde

          3. (#6). Gavi

          4. (#10). Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal misses his third consecutive match

            "Lamine
Lamine Yamal during the Rayo-Barça (1-1)

As expected, Lamine Yamal has once again been left out of Hansi Flick’s squad list. The player from Rocafonda is still unable to train normally due to discomfort in the pubis and, with luck, will return in time for the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, on October 1 in Montjuïc.

Barça had to deal with his absence against Valencia (6-0) and Newcastle (1-2). Luckily, the Culés have found solutions in attack to resolve both matches comfortably. In the Champions League, Marcus Rashford scored his first double with the Blaugrana shirt.

And, in La Liga, Fermín López, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski also scored twice to complete a historic thrashing. Without Lamine available, the Blaugrana team averages, for now, 4 goals per game, maintaining the brutal offensive power of the previous year.

Barça-Getafe: a match always uncomfortable for Flick’s team

Against Getafe, however, Barcelona faces again a rival that last season knew how to complicate things a lot for Hansi Flick’s team. In the first round, a goal from Lewandowski made the difference in Montjuïc (1-0). At the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, the match ended in a draw (1-1).

In fact, in three of their last four visits to Barça, Getafe has only lost by one goal. The only exception was in 23/24, when Xavi Hernández’s team won by a landslide (4-0). In 25/26, José Bordalán’s team has 3 wins and 1 loss at the start of La Liga, with one point less than the Blaugrana team.

Calendar 2025/26: upcoming matches of FC Barcelona

The Barcelona calendar in LaLiga 25/26 is just beginning. After the match against Getafe, the Culés visit the newly promoted Real Oviedo next Thursday the 24th. Then, on Sunday the 27th, it’s time to host Real Sociedad, a match still without a confirmed stadium.
