Eric Garc\u00eda<\/strong> has taken a step forward with FC Barcelona<\/strong> since the arrival of Hansi Flick<\/strong> to the Bar\u00e7a bench. The 24-year-old defender<\/strong> was one of the players with several interesting offers to leave in the summer, but the coach convinced him to stay.<\/p>

Now, the club’s board has to negotiate his contract extension<\/a>, as the ’24’ could negotiate as a free agent with any club from January 1st. After establishing himself in the Bar\u00e7a squad thanks to his versatility, there will be no shortage of teams interested in offering him a good contract in 2026.<\/p>

Eric returned to Bar\u00e7a in the summer of 2021 on a free transfer, after two seasons at Manchester City. In 2023 he went on loan to Girona<\/a>, a personal decision due to the lack of prominence with Xavi Hern\u00e1ndez on the bench.
