FC Barcelona must activate in a timely manner the exit operation in this summer market 2024\/25. At this point, the Catalan team knows that it must focus its attention on the defensive line, an area in which it has up to seven assets with a good market value<\/strong> and that due to this ‘overbooking’ of players it is necessary to make at least one or two sales, in order to free up space in the squad and begin to strengthen the economic ‘muscle’ to be able to carry out other more pressing incorporations.<\/p>

In this sense, one of the names that generates more debate around this issue is that of Eric Garcia<\/strong>. The 23-year-old native of Martorell, currently concentrating with the Spanish national team in the men’s soccer tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is still not clear about his future in the cul\u00e9 team. Despite being valued for his versatility on the pitch, being able to play as a central defender, right back and midfielder, it is known that the azulgrana team would be willing to let him go if a sufficiently attractive offer arrives.<\/p>

In this context, such a proposal could be on its way, courtesy of a team that already knows what it is like to have the defender on its roster: Girona. The ‘Giron\u00ed’ squad, which had Eric Garc\u00eda as one of the ‘caudillos’ of the defensive line and a surprise in terms of goals (he converted five goals) during the 2023\/24 season, at the end of his loan showed their interest in counting on him again in the future to further strengthen their backline<\/strong>, which has already added Ladislav Krej\u010d\u00ed as a new acquisition, thus further strengthening their rearguard.<\/p>

The offer that Girona would have made to FC Barcelona for Eric Garcia<\/h2>

As suggested by ‘El Nacional.cat’, the ‘albirrojos’ have submitted an offer to FC Barcelona to acquire the services of Eric Garcia<\/strong>. This proposal would exceed the expectations of the cul\u00e9 club, since it is far from the market value of 20 M\u20ac established by ‘Transfermarkt’. The operation would consist of around 15 M\u20ac as a fixed amount plus another 10 ‘kilos’ in variables<\/strong>, which is quite important, especially considering that the player was signed at zero cost in 2021, which would mean a net gain for Barcelona.<\/p>

Now it remains to be seen how this operation will develop, since despite the fact that, according to the aforementioned source, the negotiation seems to have the approval of Hansi Flick, who does not consider the defender as indispensable, it is important to know if Girona really have the economic capacity to carry out this transaction<\/strong>. Girona has made several acquisitions (Abel Ruiz, Ladislav Krej\u010d\u00ed, Alejandro Franc\u00e9s and Donny Van de Beek) and few sales (Artem Dovbyk, Aleix Garc\u00eda, Pau V\u00edctor and Alexander Callens), so it is necessary to assess whether they have sufficient financial resources to complete this operation<\/strong>, which, on the other hand, does not seem to displease Eric Garc\u00eda, who shone under the management of M\u00edchel S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>
