FC Barcelona<\/a> will not be able to return to the Spotify Camp Nou on August 10 as planned to play the Joan Gamper Trophy<\/a>. The club reported that the City Council did not grant them the First Occupation License, making the return home unfeasible.<\/p>

The official statement issued by the Catalan institution did not indicate a definitive date for the return to the renovated venue. However, in principle, the intention is for the return to take place during the weekend of September 13 and 14, which would coincide with the match for J4 of LaLiga 2025\/26 against Valencia CF.<\/p>

However, the club acknowledges that there are still no guarantees and that all options remain on the table, while they work to make the aforementioned date a reality.<\/p>

Given this, in recent hours, media close to the Bar\u00e7a environment have indicated that there is some annoyance with the authority because they believe they have done everything possible, based on the ordinances, to obtain the approval of the City Council.<\/strong><\/p>

The City Council does not give in and Bar\u00e7a does not hide its frustration<\/b><\/h2>

Initially, Bar\u00e7a wanted to use the usual match before the start of the season as a pilot test, enabling only the Tribune and the South Goal, but the board of directors found that the City Council considers that the First Occupation licenses are only granted horizontally, when the Estadi ring is completely finished.<\/p>

The municipal position responds to technical criteria, since they cannot authorize a license that reaches, for example, up to row 25 if in the adjacent row the structural conditions still do not guarantee total safety.<\/strong><\/p>

Given the discomfort in the board of directors generated by the latest events, the club’s communications department recommended that the board avoid making a public appearance next week to avoid aggravating the atmosphere, as it had been planned to explain all the details of the council’s ‘NO’.<\/p>

Likewise, beyond the specific differences, Bar\u00e7a recognizes the importance of keeping channels open with the City Council, given that there is still work to be done to obtain the definitive occupation license.<\/p>
