The future of Dani Olmo and Pau V\u00edctor is in the hands of the Spanish Football Federation<\/a><\/strong> and its interpretation of the regulations. In fact, at this moment it is the only option that FC Barcelona has to register both players<\/strong> and thus avoid the worst imaginable scenario. According to the current regulations, the RFEF could give the green light to their registrations based on article 130.2 of the regulations justifying a case of \u201cforce majeure.\u201d<\/p>

And it is that, although article 130.2 of the RFEF General Regulations states that \u201ca player may be registered with only one team of a club, without the possibility of being deregistered and registered again by the same club during the same season,\u201d fortunately it includes two exceptions that could be applied in this specific case: except in cases of force majeure or regulatory provision<\/strong>. Two ambiguous exceptions open to free interpretation.<\/p>

Article 130 of the RFEF General Regulations<\/h5>

“A player may be registered with only one team of a club, without the possibility of being deregistered and registered again by the same club during the same season, except in cases of force majeure or regulatory provision. Likewise, during the season, they may not be registered and align with more than three different teams.\u201d<\/p> <\/blockquote>

 The FC Barcelona<\/strong> will cling to these two exceptions to avoid losing Dani Olmo<\/strong>, the star signing of the cul\u00e9 team last summer<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>

The latest precedents are very different  <\/h5>

There are some precedents, although the circumstances are totally different. Dani Olmo and Pau V\u00edctor have not played for another team<\/strong> and now Barcelona is trying to bring them back; they were registered at the beginning of the season and have only played with the azulgrana team.<\/p>

Examples like that of Gabri Veiga, who wanted to return to Celta in winter after leaving for Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the season, or that of Samu Omorodion, who could not return to Granada after signing for Atl\u00e9tico and had to go on loan to Alav\u00e9s. FC Barcelona itself set a precedent when it tried to recover Aubameyang in January 2023<\/strong>, but could not do so because he had already been registered that same season as a Bar\u00e7a player before being transferred.<\/p> ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
