Relations between FC Barcelona and LaLiga seem to have recently reached a considerable point of tension, derived from the precautionary registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor by the Higher Sports Council (CSD). This situation deeply displeased the employers’ association, which has started a relentless crusade, although the organization chaired by Javier Tebas has only chained setbacks.
The most recent occurred on April 3, when the CSD issued a resolution accepting the appeal to keep the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in force. A ruling that did not sit well with LaLiga, which did not hesitate to appeal the decision requesting precautionary measures to the administrative litigation. After the refusal of the very urgent precautionary measure last Friday, it was the turn of the State Attorney to present its appeal on Wednesday. From this, it will be the judge who determines whether or not to suspend the licenses of both players on a precautionary basis.
However, the issue that generated the greatest discomfort in FC Barcelona was not that —at least not in the first instance—, but the unfortunate informative note issued by LaLiga on April 2. In it, economic information of the azulgrana club was disclosed and it was communicated that Barça no longer had ‘fair play’ margin to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. All this, according to LaLiga, based on the interim financial statements presented by the culé team on March 31.
The ‘war’ between Barça and LaLiga worsened with the publication of economic data of the culé club
