Bar\u00e7a Legends celebrated on Saturday night (Sunday morning in Spain) with a victory against Real Madrid in San Salvador (2-0). A brace from Javier Saviola gave the win to the Catalans<\/h2> \r\n

The Jorge ‘El M\u00e1gico’ Gonz\u00e1lez National Stadium in San Salvador hosted a new edition of the Cl\u00e1sico de leyendas between FC Barcelona<\/strong> and Real Madrid<\/strong>. On this occasion, the Bar\u00e7a Legends took the win (2-0)<\/strong> in a match that saw Jorge ‘El M\u00e1gico’ Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> as the main star.<\/p>

The legendary Salvadoran player, an emblem of C\u00e1diz<\/strong>, wore the Blaugrana jersey for the first 8 minutes of the match<\/strong>, recalling his participation with Bar\u00e7a in a friendly tour during the 80s.<\/p>

‘M\u00e1gico’ Gonz\u00e1lez indulged himself by completing a dribble against Pepe<\/strong> in his brief appearance on the field, showcasing his inexhaustible quality at 67 years old. In the end, the Catalans celebrated in El Salvador thanks to a brace from the Argentine Javier ‘Conejo’ Saviola<\/strong><\/p>

The blaugrana team, managed by Albert Ferrer<\/strong>, opened the scoring in the 19th minute of a match that the Catalans dominated from the start. Marc Crosas<\/strong> set up the ‘Rabbit’ with a through ball and the Argentine masterfully finished one-on-one against Iker Casillas<\/strong>.<\/p>

Madrid reacted after the 1-0 with a couple of attempts by Brazilian Julio Baptista, but Bar\u00e7a maintained possession control without suffering too much in defense. In the second half, Saviola extended the Bar\u00e7a lead in the 72nd minute<\/strong>, this time assisted by Nolito after a good run down the left.<\/p>

Kiko Casilla had entered the ‘Merengue’ goal, but he could do nothing to prevent the second goal from the Argentine forward, who has played for both teams. Previously, Montoya, Giuly, Roger Garc\u00eda, and Nolito himself<\/strong> had come close to increasing the Catalan lead.<\/p>
