FC Barcelona closed its 2025 Asian tour with a resounding victory, the second consecutive in South Korea, against Daegu FC (0-5). Hansi Flick’s team went to halftime with a three-goal lead and, in the second half, closed a short result considering the enormous difference between both teams.

Gavi opened the scoring in the 21st minute, assisted by Lamine Yamal. The ’10’ easily overflowed on the right and enabled the midfielder, who defined with a placed left-footed shot, low, impossible for goalkeeper Oh. From there, there was only one team on the field of Daegu Stadium, in the middle of a heavy rain from beginning to end.

Gavi and Lewandowski settled the match before halftime

Six minutes after 0-1, in the 27th minute, the second arrived. Robert Lewandowski took advantage of a good cross from Gerard Martín from the right to push the ball into an empty net, scoring his second goal of the tour. The Pole was not too participative, but he always delivers as an area reference.

Gerard, for his part, once again took advantage of his minutes as a left center-back, accompanying Ronald Araujo. Alejandro Balde was the left back, while Frenkie de Jong and Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández completed the midfield. Raphinha was a left winger from the start, with Joan García back in goal.

Just before halftime, in the 45+2 minute, Gavi completed his personal double. The ‘6’ made a perfect diagonal noticed by Jules Koundé, who left him one-on-one with an impeccable filtered pass. The Andalusian defined by chipping it over Oh and the goal was added to his personal account, although Araujo ended up putting the ball in when it had already crossed the goal line.

Goalscoring ‘baptism’ for Rashford and Toni Fernández in Daegu

As happened in the previous two friendlies, Hansi Flick completely changed his XI for the second half. Szczesny returned to goal, with Eric García, Pau Cubarsí, Andreas Christensen and Jofre Torrents in defense. Marc Casadó, Pedri, Roony Bardghji, Dani Olmo, Toni Fernández and Marcus Rashford completed an XI where the English winger made his debut as a ‘9’ and goalscorer with the culés.

In the 65th minute, Rashford took advantage of a low pass from Eric from the right to score his first goal in a Barça shirt. The ’14’ defined first-time, with a dry left-footed shot, as an area reference.

Eleven minutes earlier, Toni had scored the partial 0-4. The youth player was positioned as a left winger and, thanks to a pass between the lines from Olmo, he was also able to make his debut as a goalscorer with Barça. The culés enjoyed other clear opportunities, but Bardhgji and Marcus himself were not more fortunate in front of goal.

Towards the end, Héctor Fort and Diego Kochen also entered, the latter making his debut on the tour. Only Guille Fernández, Ferran Torres (as a physical precaution) and Iñaki Peña remained on the bench, the only fixed discard for the 25/26 season.

Barça will return to Catalonia this Tuesday to conclude their 2025 preseason with the Joan Gamper Trophy, on Sunday, August 10 against Como of Italy. On the Asian tour, Flick’s team scored 15 goals for and only 4 against in three matches.
