This Friday (August 8) it transpired that UEFA sanctioned the coach of FC Barcelona<\/strong>, Hansi Flick<\/strong>, and his assistant Marcus Sorg<\/em>, with a fine of 20,000 euros and a one-match suspension in the top European football competition for incidents in the return leg of the 2024\/25 Champions League semi-final at San Siro against Inter Milan. <\/strong><\/p>

In this context, the punishment imposed, it seems, is based on the violation of the general principles of conduct set out in Article 11.1 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR).<\/p>

In addition, an additional infringement is pointed out related to the basic rules of decorous behaviour, contemplated in article 11.2.b of the same regulation.<\/strong><\/p>

However, the club does not deny some confusion and discontent, considering that Flick has always been a coach with an almost impeccable attitude when he is on the bench.<\/strong><\/p>

Although they believe it is because the German coach saw the yellow card in the final minutes of the match that his team lost 4-3, because he was upset, and in the subsequent press conference he suggested that, in the face of doubts, the refereeing decisions fell in favour of the Italian team.<\/strong><\/p>
