The 2024-25 season of FC Barcelona is still in full swing, with three fronts open: LaLiga EA Sports, the UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey. However, the ‘culé’ team already has its sights set on what will be its preseason tour for the 2025-26 campaign. A ‘tour’ that, unlike previous years, everything seems to indicate that it will not take place in the United States.
In this sense, FC Barcelona would be considering the option of returning to Asian territory, a region it has not visited since 2023. It should be remembered that the Catalan team traveled to Tokyo in the summer of 2023, after finishing the 2022-23 season, to play a friendly against Vissel Kobe. This match was in tribute to the ‘azulgrana’ legend Andrés Iniesta and ended with a score of 0-2, with goals from Franck Kessié and Eric García.
According to reports, as FC Barcelona will not participate in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, they will be able to plan their preseason for the end of July, with enough time for the squad and coaching staff to rest. In this context, it has been mentioned that the team from the ‘Ciudad Condal’ has two matches scheduled in South Korea and two in Japan, although these are not yet closed.
As highlighted in ‘MD’, FC Barcelona signed an agreement with the Korean promotion company D-drive Corporation to negotiate the holding of four friendly matches, in addition to an additional exhibition match before May 30. The latter, however, is conditional on the performance of the ‘culé’ club in the UEFA Champions League, since, if the team reaches the final, they would have to play the match on May 31 at the Allianz Arena, which would make this additional match unfeasible.
Plans for the 2025-26 preseason

A tour of great economic potential for FC Barcelona
