FC Barcelona will officially present Marcus Rashford this Wednesday as their second official reinforcement for 2025\/26. Roony Bardghji<\/a> also arrived this summer from Copenhagen, but the Swede signed with a reserve team contract.<\/p>

The Englishman already signed his contract on Tuesday<\/a> after getting to know the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and sharing with the squad and the Bar\u00e7a coaching staff. One of the aspects that remains to be defined of his incorporation has to do with the number that the 27-year-old forward will wear at Bar\u00e7a.<\/p>

For now, there are four free numbers in the first team<\/strong>. Rashford wore the ’10’ in his last seven seasons with Manchester United and the ‘9’ with Aston Villa in the second half of 24\/25. In the Bar\u00e7a team, both numbers have an owner: Lamine Yamal<\/a> and Robert Lewandowski<\/a>.<\/p>

List of free numbers in FC Barcelona<\/h2>

The four free numbers among the 25 enabled for the first team are: ’12’, ’14’, ’19’ and ’22’. The ’12’ has been free since 2021\/22, after the departure of Martin Braithwaite<\/strong>. The Dane took that number in 2021 after the signing of Memphis Depay, who took the ‘9’ that Braithwait, in turn, had assumed after the departure of Luis Su\u00e1rez.<\/p>

The ’22’, meanwhile, was free last season after \u00cdlkay G\u00fcndogan’s return to Manchester City<\/a> was confirmed. The German wore that number in 23\/24 and, a year earlier, Raphinha had worn it in his debut season. <\/p>

For their part, the ’14’ and ’19’ were released this summer after the departures of Pablo Torre<\/a> and Ansu Fati<\/a>. The Cantabrian took this number when he returned from his loan to Girona last summer and the one from Bissau, after going on loan to Monaco, made the ’10’ available for Lamine Yamal.<\/p>
