Joan Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, brand new first signing of the 2025\/26 season for FC Barcelona<\/a>, gave his first interview as a player of the ‘cul\u00e9’ team. The player from Sallent de Llobregat spoke on the club’s official audiovisual platform, Bar\u00e7a One<\/em>, in which he did not hesitate to speak at length about various issues related to his arrival at the Barcelona team.<\/p>

The talented 24-year-old goalkeeper did not hesitate to recognize that his career deserved a necessary qualitative leap, after playing four seasons with RCD Espanyol<\/strong>: “I really wanted it to happen and to be a Bar\u00e7a<\/strong> player 100%,” he asserted to the microphones of the official ‘azulgrana’ channel.<\/p>

“They were intense days and weeks. I consulted with myself, with my family… but I was really quite convinced that it was the step I had to take.”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

A decision that Joan Garc\u00eda<\/strong> explained that, despite having an important degree of complexity, he is satisfied to have taken: “I was clear about it, but obviously, because of where I came from, it was complicated. I’ve had some strange feelings. But I’m super convinced that it was the step<\/strong>.”<\/p>

That step also represented, without a doubt, a dream for the goalkeeper from Sallent: “When you start playing, what do you dream of? You dream of fighting for everything, winning titles and being at the highest level.<\/strong> Luckily, I have the opportunity to do it.”<\/p>

Competition for the ‘azulgrana’ goal: Joan Garc\u00eda, Ter Stegen or Szcz\u0119sny?<\/h2>

I am demanding with myself and I see things that I have to improve.<\/strong> I am convinced that I will be able to adapt to the new style.”<\/p>

In that line, Joan Garc\u00eda<\/strong> reasoned about the importance of joining FC Barcelona<\/strong>, both at a sporting and personal level: “Right now it is one of the best projects in football. Also, I will be at home. It is a team that aspires to everything. I really wanted to join a project like this<\/strong>, and what better than at home,” he concluded, underlining how important it is for him to stay close to his family.<\/p>
