This Friday, FC Barcelona<\/a> confirmed the scenario that had been foreseeable for days, that is, not being able to return to Spotify Camp Nou on August 10 to play the Joan Gamper Trophy<\/a><\/strong>, after the City Council did not agree to grant the Blaugrana entity the First Occupation License.<\/p>

In this regard, after all the commotion caused by the news, the Vice President of the Institutional Area, Elena Fort, through Bar\u00e7a One, detailed the reasons for the ‘NO’ from the authority of the Condal City.<\/p>

“The reason lies in the impossibility, given the execution and the ‘timing’ of execution of the works, of literally complying with the municipal ordinances and giving time to carry out all the possible processing and procedures so that the City Council can grant the first occupation license,” she commented.<\/p> <\/blockquote>

It should be noted that this requirement is an administrative permit whose main function is to certify that the place complies with the legal, technical and urban requirements established in the approved project.<\/p>

Bar\u00e7a is working to get the permit soon and return to Spotify Camp Nou<\/b><\/h2>

In this context, Fort pointed out that, due to the large scale of the remodeling of the venue, it has complicated a positive response from the City Council, since it is a work that undergoes constant changes, unlike the construction of buildings, for which the regulations are designed.<\/p>

“The large volume of work, executed and to be executed, makes it difficult to fit into a literal interpretation and application of municipal ordinances and regulations when obtaining first occupation licenses,” she added.<\/p> <\/blockquote>

Likewise, the vice president pointed out that the Blaugrana institution is in contact with the relevant bodies to be able to establish a fit that allows the club to receive the required license as soon as possible to return to the stadium.<\/p>

In relation to Bar\u00e7a’s return to Camp Nou, the Blaugrana entity would already be working with its sights set on a specific date for the return home. According to recent information, the club is aiming for September 13 or 14 to once again play as local at the Estadi against Valencia CF for LaLiga 2025\/26.<\/p>

Montju\u00efc, option on the table for Bar\u00e7a in case of prolonged delays at Camp Nou<\/b><\/h2>

In this order of ideas, the club would also be aware of the possibility of having to play in another stadium for the first part of the league competition if the return continues to be delayed. In this sense, that venue could be the Montju\u00efc Olympic Stadium, where it faced the 2023\/24 and 2024\/25 seasons.<\/strong><\/p>

Likewise, the calendar brings Bar\u00e7a closer to a key date in its sports planning, since, in mid-August, it must inform both LaLiga and UEFA which will be its headquarters stadium from September.<\/p>

This conditions the plans of the Blaugrana club, since, if it fails to obtain the First Occupation License of the Spotify Camp Nou in time, it would be forced to remain at the Estadi Ol\u00edmpic de Montju\u00efc until the end of January at the earliest.
