Less than a month before the Joan Gamper Trophy is played, the Spotify Camp Nou already has most of the seats enabled in the stands and boxes to receive the culé brotherhood

The works at the Spotify Camp Nou are progressing at full speed in recent weeks. Less than a month before the dispute of the Joan Gamper 2025 Trophy (Sunday, August 10), there is significant progress in the stands and boxes, the latter being a vital area for the club’s finances.

The reason has to do with the 475 VIP seats whose commercialization rights were sold by the club at the end of 2024. The negotiation with two Middle Eastern investors contributed 100 million euros net to the culé coffers, but its new auditor, Crowe Spain, refused to account for this income until the assets sold were fully built and operational.

In that sense, Crowe will only audit the operation until the company Limak Construction, in charge of the project, completely builds the area where the 475 sold to the companies Fortia Advisor Limited (30 M€) and New Era Visionary Group (70 M€) rest, the latter also a telecommunications provider of the club.

The key to returning to 1:1 is to finish the construction of the VIP box

Barça already received the 30 million from Fortia, while New Era has already paid 28 ‘kilos’ and the other 42 M€ will be paid in two installments to be made in September 2025 and early 2026. However, these figures will only be taken into account by LaLiga until Crowe sends its report detailing the operability of the boxes.

The 100 million allowed Barça to return to the 1:1 rule in January and, therefore, will fulfill the same function this summer, as long as the azulgrana accounting report is sent this month. For the culés, operating under this regulation is key to strengthen without problems in the summer market.
