The big surprise of matchday 5, so far, was delivered by Bayer Leverkusen. The Germans surprised a Manchester City that rested several of its stars (0-2)<\/strong> and, ultimately, fell at home, complicating their aspirations of staying in the TOP-8. Alejandro Grimaldo and Patrick Schick scored the goals for the German team, which with the victory reaches 8 points.<\/p>

City remains in the upper part of the standings, but in the next matchday they will visit Real Madrid. The other upset on Tuesday was by Union Saint-Gilloise. The Belgians defeated Galatasaray (0-1) <\/strong>in Istanbul, taking advantage of Victor Osimhen’s absence from the home team. For Union, it was their second win in the group stage, while Galatasaray remains with 9 points.<\/p>

Juventus<\/strong> also won away against Bodo\/Glimt (2-3), thanks to a goal from Jonathan David in stoppage time. Benfica<\/strong>, for their part, did the same against bottom-placed Ajax<\/strong> (0-2). Marseille and Napoli<\/strong>, on the other hand, did win at home against Newcastle and Qarabag<\/strong>, respectively. The French and Italians remain in the ‘play-off’ zone.<\/p>
