They will face each other in the first leg of the Champions League round of 32<\/strong>, at the Etihad Stadium. The veteran midfielder born in Gelsenkirchen has faced Real Madrid a total of 11 times, of which he has won 5, drawn 2 and lost 4<\/strong>. Until his arrival at FC Barcelona, \u200b\u200bhe had only lost once, in 2013, in the second leg of the semi-final between Borussia Dortmund and the team from the Spanish capital. That match ended 2-0, but the aggregate gave the German team a pass to the final by the minimum (4-3).
