Controversy is once again knocking on the door of LaLiga<\/strong> president, Javier Tebas<\/strong>. On this occasion, the 63-year-old Spanish-Costa Rican leader has been the subject of a complaint filed by Miguel \u00c1ngel Gal\u00e1n<\/strong>, president of the Association for Transparency and Democracy in Sport. The reason? The alleged commission of five very serious infractions<\/strong> for revealing confidential information of the Catalan team.<\/p>

Gal\u00e1n<\/strong> presented a 51-page document to the Superior Sports Council, where he explains the reasons why he considers that the leader of the employers’ association flagrantly violated “the duty of confidentiality”<\/strong> of the team from the Condal City.<\/p>

In short, the claim focuses on the following points:<\/p>

  1. The statement issued on April 2, 2025<\/a> in which LaLiga<\/strong> revealed economic data of FC Barcelona<\/strong> and its alleged return to the situation of non-compliance with the financial fair play<\/em>.<\/li> \t
  2. The public statements of Javier Tebas<\/strong> asserting that Bar\u00e7a<\/strong> is not in rule 1:1, thus divulging reserved information and internal operations.<\/li> \t
  3. The statement of April 7, 2025<\/a> in which Bar\u00e7a accused Javier Tebas<\/strong> of failing to comply with the duty of confidentiality.<\/li> \t
  4. The order, dated April 8, 2025<\/strong>, to withdraw the statement of April 2, which, according to Gal\u00e1n, implies an implicit recognition of said violation.<\/li> \t
  5. The resolution of March 28, 2025<\/strong> of the CSD, in which the deregistration of Dani Olmo<\/strong> and Pau V\u00edctor<\/strong> was annulled, including a document signed by Javier Tebas Medrano<\/strong> that shared economic information of Barcelona<\/strong> with a body not competent to evaluate financial control.<\/li> <\/ol>

    Statements by Miguel \u00c1ngel Gal\u00e1n and criticisms of Javier Tebas’ management<\/h2>

    In statements collected by Diario AS<\/em> about this complaint, Gal\u00e1n<\/strong> stated: “As president of the Association for Transparency and Democracy in Sport, I saw the need to file a complaint in defense of the collective interests of the members of FC Barcelona<\/strong> and its fans.”<\/p>

    He added that, unfortunately, Joan Laporta<\/strong> has not taken effective measures after publicly denouncing the infraction: “Therefore, I feel obliged to denounce the faults committed by the president of LaLiga<\/strong>.”<\/p>
