The future of Marc-Andr\u00e9 ter Stegen<\/strong> in FC Barcelona<\/strong> has everyone attentive. The uncertain present of the German goalkeeper, at war with the Blaugrana team, has caused even voices outside of Barcelona to raise their opinion about what is happening with the German in Can Bar\u00e7a<\/strong>.<\/p>

One of those voices that has come out to support MATS<\/strong><\/em> comes from the German national team<\/strong>, specifically from Andreas Rettig<\/strong>, sporting director of the Mannschaft<\/em><\/strong>. The manager admitted to disagreeing with the way this entire controversy has developed around the goalkeeper’s name, pointing out that the situation could have been handled differently:<\/p>

“I would like his merits and the importance Marc-Andr\u00e9 has had to be taken into account in his treatment, not only with us, but also in Barcelona.”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

Although Rettig<\/strong> lowered the tension of his claims, he admitted that, from his partiality, it is difficult for him to have a completely objective view of the situation. “I am a bit partial. He is a player of our national team. Therefore, I may not be the right person to evaluate it objectively<\/strong>,” he concluded.<\/p>

Ter Stegen divides opinions in Germany and Barcelona<\/h2>

These statements become the second public manifestation of a representative of the DFB<\/strong> on the current situation of Ter Stegen<\/strong> in FC Barcelona<\/strong>. The first came days ago from the national coach, Julian Nagelsmann<\/strong><\/a>, who during the International Coaches Congress in Leipzig made his position clear: if MATS<\/strong><\/em> wants to be a starter with the Mannschaft<\/em><\/strong>, he must regain his leading role with the Catalans:<\/p>

“If Marc returns to being the starting goalkeeper of his club, he could undoubtedly be our first goalkeeper, because he deserves it.”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

An option that, today, seems far from reality. The cul\u00e9 roadmap points to giving the starting position to Joan Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, a brand new summer addition, who would be accompanied by Wojciech Szcz\u0119sny<\/strong>, renewed for two more seasons. The panorama drastically reduces the German’s opportunities within the sports project, which could explain his confrontation with the Catalan entity.<\/p>

Ter Stegen vs. Bar\u00e7a: increasing tension and no clear way out<\/h2>

The conflict is not limited to the sports field. Ter Stegen<\/strong> has been inflexible in the face of any exit scenario, whether through a transfer or the termination of his contract, refusing to offer facilities in case of breaking his bond.<\/p>

In turn, he has chosen not to collaborate with the registration of new colleagues, refusing to sign the medical report that supports his long-term absence<\/a>.
