The Uruguayan left <strong>Barcelona<\/strong> in 2020, after not having a place in the sporting project of <strong>Ronald Koeman<\/strong>, sending him to <strong>Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid<\/strong> for a total of six million euros in variables. An insignificant amount for a <strong>Su\u00e1rez<\/strong> who would later prove that he still had goals to give on European soil, scoring up to 34 goals while wearing the &#8216;colchoneros&#8217; jersey.<\/p>  <p>Now, with time passed, with the &#8216;Pistolero&#8217; retired from football in the Old Continent and playing for Inter Miami, he had no qualms about discussing in an interview with Argentine streamer Davoo Xeneize about <strong>what his adventure at FC Barcelona was like<\/strong> and how painful it was for him to close it so abruptly. &#8220;<strong>I don\u2019t live in the past nor do I hold a grudge, but I had a really hard time when I left Barcelona.<\/strong> I felt that I still had what it took to play for Bar\u00e7a. I was the top scorer after Messi. That motivated me. My mission was to show Barcelona that they were wrong and to repay Atl\u00e9tico for the trust they placed in me. And we won the League; I value that title a lot,&#8221; he added.<\/p>  <blockquote> <p>&#8220;My mission was to show Barcelona that they were wrong and to repay Atl\u00e9tico for the trust they placed in me&#8221;<\/p> <\/blockquote>  <h2>&#8216;Lucho&#8217; fulfilled a dream by joining FC Barcelona<\/h2>  <p>However, beyond that, &#8216;Lucho&#8217; still holds a beautiful memory of his time as a cul\u00e9, admitting that it was a true dream to wear the azulgrana jersey. &#8220;I had always dreamed of playing for Bar\u00e7a&#8230; <strong>When I signed for Barcelona, it was the realization of a dream<\/strong>,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>  <p>At the same time, the Uruguayan revealed that <strong>Barcelona<\/strong>, in his time, could have been even more successful (13 titles). However, he explained the reason for not achieving better results: &#8220;There were matches at Barcelona where we were too overconfident&#8230; <strong>And it ended badly.
