Not long ago, the historic footballer of FC Barcelona<\/strong> and the Spanish national team, Andr\u00e9s Iniesta<\/strong>, announced his retirement from the playing fields<\/a>, putting an end to a 22-year career. In addition to his time with the Blaugrana team, the Fuentealbilla native also played for Vissel Kobe<\/strong> in Japan and Emirates Club<\/strong> in the United Arab Emirates, where he concluded his professional playing career.<\/p>

However, once Andr\u00e9s Iniesta’s retirement was announced<\/a>, speculations began to emerge about what his next step in the world of football would be. There were discussions that the next natural progression would inevitably be coaching from the sidelines<\/strong>. However, in a total turn of events, the Spaniard will remain connected to the world of football in a completely different capacity, at least for now.<\/p>

What will be Andr\u00e9s Iniesta’s new role in the world of football?<\/h3>

Recently, it has been revealed that Iniesta<\/strong>, through his agency ‘Never Say Never,’ in collaboration with the Hispano-Swiss firm Stoneweg, has become the majority shareholder of the team FC Helsing\u00f8r<\/strong> in the Danish Second Division. With this new position, the Spaniard will venture into the world of football as a co-owner of this Danish club<\/strong>, whose coaching staff has notably been Spanish-ized.<\/p>

The FC Helsing\u00f8r<\/strong> team is led by the Majorcan Pep Alomar<\/strong>, who previously served as an assistant to Lloren\u00e7 Serra Ferrer<\/strong> at Barcelona<\/strong>. Additionally, they have the collaboration of the Catalan Marc Velasco<\/strong> (another with experience at Bar\u00e7a<\/strong>) as an assistant. On the other hand, Quim Ram\u00f3n<\/strong>, who has extensive experience managing the youth categories at the Catalan club, will serve as the sporting director in this new project.<\/p>
