The growth of contagions largely of the countries of the world, with the main focus in Italy and Spain, has caused that the International Olympic Committee (COI)<\/strong> see forced to take decisions that did not expect in the last weeks. The Olympic games of Tokyo 2020,<\/strong> programmed to celebrate during this summer of 2020 will postpone , as well as the Paral\u00edmpicos.<\/strong><\/p>

Both already have definite dates. The Olympic games of Tokyo (planned of 24 July to 9 August 2020) will begin on 23 July 2021<\/strong> and will finish on 8 August, whereas the Paral\u00edmpicos (planned of 25 August to 6 September 2020) will begin on 24 August 2021 and will close on 5 September.<\/p>

The new calendar was announced in a press conference by Yoshiro Mori, <\/strong>president of the committee organiser, shortly after speaking telef\u00f3nicamente with the president of the COI, Thomas Bach. The alternative date was proposed by the organisers taking into account that it wanted to concede “sufficient time for the preparation of the athletes”<\/strong> that participate.<\/p>

Mori Explained the dates that studied of face to celebrate the Olympic games: “Because of the situation of the coronavirus, also thought that was better that the Games went in summer”. Besides, it added that “the new dates give to the sanitary authorities and to the organisers the maximum time for lidiar with the changes and problems that has brought the pandemia of COVID-19<\/a>\u200b”.<\/p>

The president of the committee organiser added that the new dates “look for to minimise the problems that postpone the Games can cause to the international sportive calendar<\/a>“. <\/strong>“Working beside the committee organiser and the governments of Tokyo and Japan can sortear this challenge. Massive cost of the rescheduling of the Olympic games<\/h3>

The executive director Toshiro Mutate stood out that the cost of the rescheduling of the Games will be massive.<\/strong> “Since the Olympic games were programmed for this summer, all the headquarters have renounced to receive any another event during this time, so how tackle this?” It asked , adding that “besides, will have to have guarantees when we reserve the new dates, and exists the possibility that this comport the payment of the rent.
