FC Barcelona<\/strong> has gone ten consecutive matchdays of LaLiga<\/a> without losing their first match of a calendar year. Since their defeat against Real Sociedad<\/strong> at Anoeta on January 4, 2015 (1-0)<\/strong> with an own goal by Jordi Alba<\/strong>, the Catalan team has accumulated 6 wins and 4 draws when opening the year, with 9 matches played away and only 1 at home.<\/p>

The last time Bar\u00e7a started the year at home in LaLiga was January 7, 2018<\/strong>, in the 3-0 thrashing of Levante<\/strong>. That year, however, the Catalans had already played the first leg of the Copa del Rey round of 16 against Celta<\/strong> (1-1). The same happened in 2017, 2023, and 2025, meaning Bar\u00e7a opened the year playing the Copa, always as visitors. <\/p>
