Real Madrid fell for the first time in LaLiga since their defeat on matchday 6 of last season against Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid at the Metropolitano (3-1). With the defeat, Madrid was just one game away from equaling the absolute record for matches without losing in the League, held by Barcelona since 2018. The cul\u00e9s went 43 matches without losing between the 2016\/17 and 2017\/18 seasons<\/strong> with Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde on the bench.<\/p>

The cul\u00e9 streak began in April 2017 and ended in May 2018.<\/strong> The ‘merengues’, for their part, had not fallen since September 2023. Furthermore, the victory at the Bernab\u00e9u allows Bar\u00e7a to move 6 points away from the lead in LaLiga and put an end to a streak of two consecutive seasons without winning in Chamart\u00edn.<\/p>
