FC Barcelona and Valencia CF<\/strong> face each other this Sunday in Catalonia for Matchday 4 of LaLiga EA Sports 2025\/26<\/a>. Hansi Flick’s team arrives at their home debut after drawing in Vallecas against Rayo (1-1)<\/a> and are looking for their fifth consecutive home victory against the ‘che’ team.<\/p>

In the League, Bar\u00e7a has a nine-year unbeaten home streak against Valencia, with 7 wins and 2 draws in that period (2016-2025). Carlos Corber\u00e1n’s last visit to Catalan soil resulted in a historic thrashing (7-1)<\/a>, on a day when Frenkie de Jong, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Ferm\u00edn L\u00f3pez (double) C\u00e9sar T\u00e1rrega (own goal) scored.<\/p>

The last time the ‘blanquinegro’ team took all three points from Barcelona was April 17, 2016<\/strong>. On Matchday 33 of LaLiga 15\/16, the team then managed by Pako Ayestar\u00e1n surprised Luis Enrique’s side (1-2) with goals from Ivan Rakitic (own goal) and Santi Mina<\/strong>.<\/p>

Leo Messi<\/a> scored in the second half for the ‘azulgrana’ team, who would end up winning that League<\/strong> with a one-point advantage over Real Madrid. Valencia, for its part, finished in 12th place after a season in which they flirted with relegation.<\/p>

Barcelona and Valencia, separated by only 3 points on Matchday 4<\/h2>

For the fourth matchday duel, both teams arrive separated by only 3 points in the standings. The team managed by Hansi Flick started the 25\/26 season with victories against Mallorca (0-3)<\/a><\/strong> and Levante (2-3)<\/a><\/strong>, but stumbled in Vallecas against Rayo (1-1). Therefore, they have 7 out of a possible 9 points.<\/p>

Valencia, on the other hand, started the season with a home draw against Real Sociedad (1-1)<\/strong> and a defeat on their visit to Osasuna (1-0)<\/strong>. However, Carlos Corber\u00e1n’s team recovered on Matchday 3 by thrashing Getafe (3-0)<\/strong>, a surprising result considering Getafe’s good start (a couple of away wins).<\/p>
