Hansi Flick presents surprises in his squad list for the match between FC Barcelona and Villarreal! The list of 22 players for matchday 37 of LaLiga 24/25 includes the absences of Jules Koundé, Marc Bernal and Ferran Torres, the latter injured prior to the match against Espanyol. With the Liga title secured, the culés seek to maintain their unbeaten record in the second half of the season.

How will these changes affect Barça’s performance on matchday 37? Despite the absences of the Frenchman and the ‘Shark’, Flick has almost the entire squad available. Most notably, the return of Iñigo Martínez after serving his suspension in Cornellà. Also noteworthy is the return of Sergi Domínguez due to the last-minute absence of Ronald Araujo.

Almost Complete Squad for the Last Match in Montjuïc: Detailed Analysis

          "Alineacion
Starting lineup of FC Barcelona v Mallorca in LaLiga 24/25

The last match of the season at home allows Hansi Flick to have most of the squad available, including Robert Lewandowski, Alejandro Balde, Marc Casadó and Pablo Torre, who were out injured in recent weeks.

Casadó was out for two months due to a partial tear of the external lateral ligament in his right knee suffered in the Liga match against Atlético (2-4), just before the international break in March. Although his absence was feared until the start of the pre-season, the ’17’ shortened the recovery period and was medically cleared just before the Clásico on matchday 35.

The same happened with Balde, although the absence of the full-back was a little longer than expected. Álex missed Barcelona’s last 7 matches due to a distal injury to the biceps femoris of his left thigh, but was able to play against Real Madrid and Espanyol.

Another player who returns to action in LaLiga is Lewandowski, who was absent for three weeks due to the injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left thigh suffered against Celta (4-3). The Pole started against Espanyol and, again, will be in the starting lineup on Sunday, as he needs to score to get into the fight for the Pichichi.
