The FC Barcelona squad for 2025\/26 is practically closed<\/a>. After the uncertainty last week over the registrations of Joan Garc\u00eda and Marcus Rashford, the club has decided to register four youth players from the reserve team in the first team’s payroll: Diego Kochen, Jofre Torrents, Guille Fern\u00e1ndez and Toni Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>.<\/p>

In this way, the club has 24 players enabled to play minutes in the League<\/strong>. In total, there are four goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and five forwards registered on the official LaLiga website<\/a>.<\/p>

Bar\u00e7a advances with the pending registrations, but without taking risks<\/h2>

The registrations of Wojciech Szczesny, Gerard Mart\u00edn and Roony Bardghji<\/strong> still need to be resolved, while I\u00f1aki Pe\u00f1a<\/strong> should resolve his departure this week. The player from Alicante, together with Oriol Romeu<\/strong>, will free up two key slots to resolve the licenses of the three mentioned players.<\/p>

The Fern\u00e1ndez cousins<\/a>, however, will continue to have a reserve team license, as will Kochen and Torrents<\/strong>. The American will remain as the third goalkeeper, while the left-back will lend a hand in replacing Alejandro Balde<\/strong>. Bardghji could also be registered with Atl\u00e8tic, but the club prefers to avoid the conflict of interests<\/a>.<\/p>

As we previously explained in FCBN with the ‘Mastantuono’ case at Real Madrid<\/strong>, a signing registered in the reserve team should not debut in the first team without first doing so with the squad for which his federative license was enabled. Roony will not count for Bar\u00e7a Atl\u00e8tic, so it makes no sense to enable him as a Segunda RFEF footballer.<\/p>

The 24 players registered in the FC Barcelona squad for LaLiga 25\/26<\/h2>

For the moment, as goalkeepers, I\u00f1aki Pe\u00f1a, Joan Garc\u00eda, Diego Kochen and Marc-Andr\u00e9 ter Stegen<\/strong> appear registered. The German will be out for at least four months, so he remains without a confirmed number. I\u00f1aki, for now, holds the ‘1’, while Joan made his debut with the ’13’ against Mallorca. Kochen, however, maintains the ’31’ as a reserve team footballer.<\/p>

As for defenders, the big news is the appearance of Jofre Torrents<\/strong>. The 18-year-old played 22 minutes in his debut against Mallorca and appears registered with the number ’29’. Jules Kound\u00e9, Eric Garc\u00eda, Pau Cubars\u00ed, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen and Balde<\/strong> are also registered.<\/p>

H\u00e9ctor Fort<\/strong>, although he can keep the Atl\u00e8tic card, has not been registered, as the full-back is set to leave in the final stretch of the market<\/a>. In the midfield section there are eight registered players.<\/p>

Curiously, Ferran Torres appears in this demarcation together with Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Ferm\u00edn L\u00f3pez, Dani Olmo and Marc Casad\u00f3 and Guille Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>. Marc Bernal, for now, does not appear enabled either.<\/p>

Unless there is a surprise, the player from Berga will keep a reserve team card once he reappears in Hansi Flick’s squads<\/strong>. Although he has already been medically cleared, the coaching staff has preferred to respect the year of absence initially planned after his serious knee injury.<\/p>

Finally, as far as forwards are concerned, Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Toni Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> are registered. The 17-year-old was on the bench at Son Moix and saw action in three of the four preseason friendlies, scoring a goal on the Asian tour.<\/p>
