Football Club Barcelona has announced the list of 21 players called up for Wednesday’s match against Brugge. The Blaugrana team plays its second away game in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26, this time at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Brugge.

Regarding the previous Champions League matchday, Hansi Flick recovers Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo, but loses Pedri González. The midfielder suffers an injury to his left thigh and will be out for around a month.

Also unavailable is Andreas Christensen, who is still experiencing discomfort in his calf. In that sense, the Barça infirmary maintains 6 players in its ranks.

As such, Hansi Flick will not be able to count on a total of 6 players on matchday 4 of the Champions League due to physical problems. In addition to Pedri, Raphinha, Christensen, and Joan García also remain sidelined.

The Catalan goalkeeper is in the final stretch of his post-operative recovery from a left meniscus injury, although his absence until after the break is not ruled out. The Brazilian relapsed last week from his right knee injury and will also not be available until mid-November, while the Dane is out due to an injury to his right soleus.

Also still in the infirmary are Joan García, Gavi, and Ter Stegen. The German is hoping to return in December. The midfielder, however, is ruled out until at least February 2026.

Barça seeks its third victory in the league phase

For Barcelona, the visit to Bruges represents the possibility of adding another victory, the third in the Champions League, a result that could place the team within the TOP-8 of the general classification. For the moment, the “culés” are ninth with 6 points, due to goal difference.

Flick’s team comes from thrashing Olympiacos in the previous matchday and also added 3 points last Sunday in the League, against Elche. Considering the favorable record against the Belgians, Barça arrives with a wide margin of favoritism to the Jan Breydel stadium, but focused on not letting points escape from a place that is always complicated.
