The great month of August for FC Barcelona in LaLiga could be bearing fruit in the form of a prize for two of its great figures: Lamine Yamal and Hansi Flick, since both are nominated for a couple of the monthly prizes awarded by the Spanish tournament. First month of the season in LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 and, as is customary month by month in this Spanish local tournament, the league seeks to reward the most outstanding players and coaches with the initiative LaLiga Awards or LaLiga Awards. These awards monthly recognize the best coach, the best under-23 player, the best goal, and the best save.

For August, FC Barcelona will have a presence in two categories. In the first one, for the best coach of the month, Hansi Flick is nominated. The team achieved a perfect record in the four matches played this month in LaLiga, defeating Valencia CF (1-2), Athletic Club (2-1), Rayo Vallecano (1-2), and Real Valladolid (7-0), adding an impeccable 12 out of 12 points that positions them as the absolute leader of the local tournament.

Now, in the competition for the award, the German coach will face two prominent coaches: Marcelino García Toral (Villarreal CF) and Luis García Plaza (Deportivo Alavés), whose teams occupy the fourth (with eight points) and sixth place (with seven points) respectively. In addition, they have a record of two victories and two draws (Villarreal CF) and two wins, one draw, and one loss (Deportivo Alavés).

On the other hand, Lamine Yamal is competing for the award for the best under-23 player in LaLiga, an accolade he has won on other occasions during the 2023/24 season. This season, he competes after scoring a goal and providing four assists in four matches played, being the leader in assists in the tournament and one of the most attractive players to watch on the field.
