Javier Tebas<\/strong> keeps the good news about FC Barcelona<\/strong>‘s finances alive. In an interview with Jordi Wild<\/strong>, a well-known Bar\u00e7a fan, on his podcast ‘The Wild Project<\/strong>‘, the president of LaLiga <\/strong>has spoken out on various current issues at Barcelona, \u200b\u200bassuring that the Catalan club’s finances are better than people think and making his position on the ‘Negreira case<\/strong>‘ clear, as well as harshly criticising Florentino P\u00e9rez<\/strong>.<\/p>

“Bar\u00e7a is doing better than people are saying now. When Laporta arrived, he declared losses of 500 million euros. When you lose 500 million, someone has to put them in. Bar\u00e7a had 600 million in wage bill. To make Bartomeu more of a dead body, they put 160 million in provisions. This year it has benefited, because of those 160 it has recovered some that were not so much provisions”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

Once the situation in which the Catalan club found itself after the Covid pandemic had been explained, the president of the employers’ association recognised the efforts made by the club to comply with the ‘fair play’ rules imposed by LaLiga<\/strong>. “If you tell a club that has lost 500 million and has a salary of 600, no, they won’t be able to sign players, they won’t get players. For every player you get, I’ll let you sign 60%. 1\/1 is when you’ve already squared income and losses.”<\/p>

“It’s not 1-1 but it’s close. I hope and wish that it can be 1\/1 in the January market”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

“Now it has a salary mass of 420 million, it has some operations like Nike, if it closes it, it will help a lot<\/a>. It has reduced 200 million euros of salary mass,” Tebas acknowledged, making it clear that the club is getting closer to signing normally.<\/p>

In addition, he assured that the Bar\u00e7a economy will be strengthened after the return to the Spotify Camp Nou<\/strong>. “What Bar\u00e7a<\/strong> is losing now by going to Montjuic <\/strong>is an investment that is in the interest of Bar\u00e7a, the League and Spanish football, what they are doing at the Camp Nou. If we now discount the gate receipts and take them away so as not to sign players, what message are we sending? That they should not renovate the stadium. This means that once they renovate, they will have to compensate for those losses.”<\/p>

The ‘Negreira case’<\/h2>

On the other hand, Tebas <\/strong>maintained that, despite having filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office, he does not believe that Bar\u00e7a <\/strong>paid the referees with that money. “Until today it has not been proven that the referees were paid with that money and I believe that it will not be proven because that is not the way to go,” he said.<\/p>

“Bar\u00e7a <\/strong>paid Negreira<\/strong>, I think it was not because of the reports, but rather because he sold them the idea that he could influence the designation of promotions and relegations,” he confessed, adding that the Catalans will suffer a sanction, although not of the magnitude that they expect from the ‘cavern’.<\/p>

“It is sporting corruption, but not at the level of the purchase of referees. That is what I think there is up to now. It is wrong and Bar\u00e7a will be sanctioned, but not at the level of the story that certain ‘portacoces’, as I call them, from Madrid, are constructing, who are ‘kicking’ the other”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

Brutal ‘rant’ against Florentino P\u00e9rez<\/h2>

Finally, the president of LaLiga <\/strong>spoke out about his relationship with Florentino P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, stating that “when I arrived I had a good relationship with Florentino, up to the centralised sale of television rights. It seems that Florentino has never broken a plate, but he breaks many. The phrase in which we distanced ourselves the most was one time when I told him ‘I listen to you, but I don’t pay attention to you’. I continue to talk to him, but always with pressure positions to do what he wants.”<\/p>

Regarding the leaked audios of the president of Real Madrid<\/strong>, Tebas <\/strong>revealed that his influence in the media ended up silencing the situation. “There was no more talk about him because of his influence, he makes people not talk. The media can tell you about the pressure that Florentino exerts in that environment…”<\/p>

“… He removes and appoints newspaper editors. He has also tried it with me. Madrid has even filed criminal charges against me. He is trying to get rid of me”<\/p> <\/blockquote>

Finally, despite reiterating his rejection of the Super League<\/strong>, a project led by the top Merengue leader, he made it clear that even if it does not end up being carried out, Perez <\/strong>will find some way to ‘cover up’ his failure. “I don’t think the Super League is over.
