Javier Tebas continues to bleed from the wound after the ruling of the Higher Sports Council in favor of FC Barcelona regarding the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau V\u00edctor<\/a>. Through his ‘X’ account, the president of LaLiga described the case as a ‘tragicomedy’, expressing his surprise at the speed of the ruling in favor of Bar\u00e7a, without consulting the opinion of the competition he directs and the RFEF. Likewise, he criticized the body for “ignoring previous decisions from both the CSD and the courts of justice” related to the granting of licenses and player registrations.<\/p>

Regarding the alleged lack of competence of the Monitoring Commission, Tebas expressed disbelief at “the ignorance of how prior visas and quasi-definitive licenses are managed. Are there not prior agreements in these institutions?”<\/strong>, he questioned, also accusing the CSD of intentionally overlooking the articles of the RFEF regulations that prevented the renewal of the licenses of Dani and Pau.<\/p>

Chapter 1 of this tragicomedy

Many things are surprising about the recent precautionary measure:

1. Speed of the process: An unusual rapidity that did not allow for a hearing for either LaLiga or the RFEF.

2. Forgetting previous resolutions: Ignoring prior decisions from both the CSD and the\u2026<\/p> \u2014 Javier Tebas Medrano (@Tebasjavier) January 9, 2025<\/a> <\/blockquote> <\/div>

Additionally, he criticized the CSD’s stance for going against LaLiga’s financial regulations which, in his view, “has been key to saving numerous historic clubs from ruin and achieving a fair competition both on and off the field”<\/strong>. What the president does not point out are the inconsistencies and contradictions of ‘Fair Play’, which have often been highlighted by Tebas’s own discourse (for example, by asserting that, with the new contract with Nike, Bar\u00e7a would have enough margin to return to 1:1 and register their two reinforcements from last summer).<\/p>

In this sense, the president of the association concludes his message on ‘X’ by stating that the Council seeks to “dismantle the systems that work in LaLiga and have the majority support of the clubs”, not without first leaving a ‘dart’ at Real Madrid. “The president of the CSD seems to listen to a single voice, which does not represent Spanish professional football. And that voice, curiously, maintains a complicit silence in this case. Where is Real Madrid TV now?”<\/strong>, he pointed out.<\/p>

The final ruling from the Council should not take more than three months to be released.
