Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski start their fourth Champions League with Bar\u00e7a this Thursday. The Brazilian comes from being the top scorer in the previous edition, while ‘Lewy’ is already the third highest historical scorer of the tournament<\/h2> \r\n

FC Barcelona<\/strong> debuts in the UEFA Champions League 2025\/26<\/strong> this Thursday against Newcastle<\/strong>, probably with Robert Lewandowski<\/strong> and Raphinha<\/strong> as starters. The Polish and the Brazilian were the team’s top scorers last season in all competitions, with 42 and 34 goals, respectively.<\/p>

The lethal offensive contribution of the duo also extended to the Champions League, where Raphinha won the Pichichi with 13 goals<\/a>. ‘Lewy’ scored a couple less (11), affected by a muscular injury that prevented him from starting in the ‘semis’ against Inter Milan.<\/p>

After being just a couple of minutes away from reaching the final, the ‘9’ and the ’11’<\/strong> are ready to start their fourth season in the Champions League with Bar\u00e7a. Both have several historical records within reach, as long as they manage to repeat their fantastic numbers from 24\/25.<\/p>

Robert, in his three previous seasons, has 19 goals in 27 Champions League matches with Bar\u00e7a<\/strong>. This has allowed him to stand alone as the third highest scorer in the tournament, with 105 goals, 15 more than Karim Benzema.<\/p>

Lewandowski maintains an average of 0.78 goals per game in the 14 seasons<\/strong> he has played with Barcelona (3), Bayern Munich (8) and Borussia Dortmund (3). With ‘BVB’ he had very similar records to those of the azulgrana team, adding 17 goals in 28 appearances.<\/p>

The bulk of his goals, logically, he scored with Bayern. In total, there were 69 goals in 78 matches over eight seasons. After a difficult first year (22\/23) with the cul\u00e9s after dropping to the Europa League, ‘Lewy’ returned to his best version after the arrival of Hansi Flick to the Catalan bench<\/strong>. The 11 goals of the previous year, in fact, are his second best mark in a season.<\/p>
