Bar\u00e7a and six other LaLiga clubs, along with Albacete, will play in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey 25\/26. The Catalan team continues its title defense after defeating Racing in the round of 16 (0-2)<\/h2> \r\n

The 2025\/26 Copa del Rey<\/a> already knows its eight qualified clubs for the quarterfinals. FC Barcelona<\/strong>‘s victory at El Sardinero against Racing de Santander (0-2)<\/a> closed out the round of 16 ties, where seven LaLiga clubs advanced to the next round<\/p>

The team led by Hansi Flick won with goals from Ferran Torres<\/strong> and Lamine Yamal<\/a> in the second half, where the Cantabrians came close to forcing a penalty shootout. For the Catalans, this is the seventh consecutive tie successfully overcome and 53 out of the last 58. <\/p>

Albacete is the only Second Division team among the eight quarter-finalists, after defeating Real Madrid (3-2) on their home turf. Surely, according to the competition’s criteria, the Manchego team will play at home again in the next round, the last one played as a single match.<\/p>

Bar\u00e7a’s potential rivals in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals<\/h2>

In addition to Albacete, **Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid, Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Betis, Alav\u00e9s, and Valencia** will also be in the quarterfinals. The draw will take place next Monday, February 13, at 1:00 PM at the Ciudad del F\u00fatbol in Las Rozas and, unlike previous rounds, there will be no restrictions regarding the possibility of a match between clubs that played in the **Spanish Super Cup**.<\/p>

In that regard, Bar\u00e7a could once again face **Athletic** (rival in the Super Cup ‘semis’) or **Atl\u00e9tico** in the quarterfinals, with the venue assigned according to the order in which the teams are drawn. The Catalans have already beaten **Guadalajara** and **Racing** away from home by identical scores (0-2) and arrive at the quarterfinals as the clear favorite to retain the trophy<\/p>

    When will the 2025\/26 Copa del Rey quarterfinals be played?<\/h2>

    Once the quarter-final pairings have been drawn on January 19, the ties will be played between Tuesday the 3rd, Wednesday the 4th, and Thursday the 5th of February<\/strong>, one week after the final matchday of the Champions League group stage<\/p>

    Immediately after, on Friday, February 06, the draw for the semifinals<\/strong> will be held, a stage that is played in two-legged matches. The first legs will be played on Tuesday, February 10, and Wednesday, February 11<\/strong>. The second legs are scheduled for Tuesday, March 03, and Wednesday, March 04. <\/p>

    For now, the final is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at La Cartuja<\/strong>. However, the date may be moved up due to the Seville Fair, which is held at the end of April in the Andalusian city. <\/p>
